Is your New Year's Resolution stacking up the way you planned it? 

Most New Year's resolutions are broken by the first 2 weeks of the New Year. If this is you - then let's consider starting again or changing your resolution to a more reachable goal.

The number one New Year's Resolution is to lose weight.

I would like you to consider weight loss as a by product of healthy living.
Maybe you could try and do something healthy everyday which you will continue to do throughout the whole year. Please contact me if you would like some guidance and direction to change your lifestyle habits for good!

Your body is your temple...be mindful this holiday season

Reminding everyone as we head into this holiday season to not overdue it. Moderation is the key. Enjoy and be mindful. Actions speak louder than words. Setting a good example for our youth is also very important. Our children will often copy our actions instead of listening to our advice. I am grateful to be sharing this healthy living journey with my children who are learning valuable tools. Let's teach them to treat our body as a temple.

         1 Corinthians 6:19-20 English Standard Version (ESV)

                      19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not                        your own, 20 for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

Some tips to help with this goal: 
1.) Drink a full glass of water before a meal 
2.) Half your plate should be fruits and veggies
3.) Four colors on your plate
4.) Seconds - choose vegetables first
5.) Limit excess sugars
6.) Limit processed foods
7.) Drink another glass of water while snacking
